This product is 100% pure, undyed white raw mulberry silk fabric, produced in Nanchong City, Sichuan Province, China. Renowned as the “Silk Capital of China” and the birthplace of silk, Nanchong boasts over 3,000 years of sericulture and weaving history. It is the origin of the nationally recognized geographical indication “Nanchong Silk.” The fertile soil and humid climate along the Jialing River basin nurture high-quality silkworm cocoons, ensuring superior raw silk quality from the source. Made from locally sourced premium white reeled silk, the fabric features a clean, even surface with minimal defects, consistent warp and weft density, uniform yarns, and a soft yet crisp drape. It possesses a natural, soft matte finish and an inherent light beige hue derived from the silk protein itself—no dyeing or chemical treatment applied—making it ideal for subsequent processes such as printing, dyeing, sand washing, and traditional Xiangyunsha (fragrant cloud silk) plant-based dyeing.
The fabric offers excellent moisture absorption, breathability, and drape, with strong tensile strength and outstanding color fastness during post-processing. It provides solid color retention and can be customized in various counts, widths, and weave structures—including power loom silk, double crepe, chiffon, plain crepe satin, and double palace white base—supporting both standard and special wide-width orders.
